The Slider

In Chicago when I was growing up everyone used to call "White Castle" hamburgers, "Sliders". But this "Slider" happens to be a pizza that slid right off the pan when I was taking it out of the oven. It actually landed upside down. This is a picture of it when I flopped it back over again and scooped up some of the ingredients off the floor. We were having one of our new student families over for lunch. They walked in the house about a minute after my "Slider" disaster. They quickly pitched in to help clean up the mess; what an awesome couple! I did have other pizzas so we weren't left without any pizza. And in spite of my "Slider" experience, it was such a wonderful lunch getting to know this dear family. They have such a heart to serve the Lord. It was so refreshing to get to know them and to hear about how God directed them here. How thankful we are that the Lord continues to challenge people to get involved with reaching tribal people with the gospel.
