Scratch Cooking

This week we are having our scratch cooking demonstrations. Next week the students will cook from scratch all week. They will also not be using any of their electrical appliances beside their refrigerator and stove. In many countries and remote areas you won't be able to use a crock pot, kitchen aid, coffee pot, and things like that. So it will be a little taste of what life could be like in a few years. Even though we have been back in North America almost ten years I still make all my own bread, buns, cookies, cakes, tortillas, pizza etc. It just becomes normal life.
