Twenty Five years ago, Vern, Caleb, Seth, and I boarded a plane and headed to Venezuela. It was an exciting day, as after all the years of preparation and training, we were finally heading out to serve the Lord overseas. It was also a scary time of many unknowns since I had never been outside of North America and here we were bringing our two sons 2 1/2 and 14 months with us on this adventure. Saying good-bye to our dear family and friends was definitely one of the hardest things we had ever done. Here we are 25 years later. All I can say is "Great This Thy Faithfulness". Our time in Venezuela was amazing! There definitely were many, many very hard and difficult things that we faced. God stretched us and taught us so many things. But what a joy it was to be a part of reaching people for Christ in Venezuela. We definitely have NO REGRETS of that decision we made 25 years ago to get on that plane. We want to thank so many of you that have been a part of our lives, praying for us and spurring us on. We know we would not have been able to serve there in Venezuela and now in Canada without you standing behind us.

I remember when you left. It was so difficult to say goodbye as we had just started an amazing friendship with you guys not long before. You have remained such wonderful and faithful friends whom we have been able to count on time and time again. We appreciate you and love you so much and truly admire you as husband and wife, as supportive parents and now as grandparents as well. You demonstrate Godly characteristics over and over, and we know that God is using you in so many lives, including ours. May God continue to strengthen you and heap blessings upon you! Love from Vern & Karyn
