Yesterday all the training staff went away for the day. A friend of the mission has a cabin about 1 1/2 hours away and let us use it for the day. As a staff we have been reading through the book called "Cross-Cultural Servanthood". It is a very challenging book and is not only for those people wanting to serve the Lord overseas, but it is also very applicable for us serving here in North America. We had many sessions together as we worked through different chapters in the book and discussed the material. We also enjoyed time connecting with each other over lunch, supper, and a couple of snacks. The day was a bit cold and rainy, although we did make it outside for a walk after lunch. The area is just beautiful. I can see why a lot of people have cabins up there.
