Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head

Today was another day of rain here. It would be nice if things could dry up a bit. Our students continue to make some good progress on their houses. The mud is trying to dry on everyone's stoves. Some of the students were able to get a fire going in their stoves and make a pot of coffee. However, it is important not too get too hot of a fire going in the stove before the mud dries, otherwise the stove will want to crack. With benches, shelves, and beds being built the houses really taking shape. The students are doing an awesome job especially in less than ideal weather.

  1. The duct tape is hilarious - will they have it on the field?

  2. Home hardware here in Durham has been a BIG supporter of our jungle camp program. For the past couple of years they have supplied all the duct tape that our student have needed. Thanks Home hardware! I am not sure if you can get duct tape on all the fields our missionaries work in, but for us it works better then nails. We don't want our students to be using nails that have to be pulled out. It would take too long to take down all the houses and we want to be able to use the same wood every year and don't want there to be all sorts of rusty nails in the wood. Duct tape keeps things together, but also, it is easy to cut to then take things apart. Duct tape is sure GREAT stuff.
