Once a month we have what is called a "Day of Prayer". First thing in the morning we have two different presentations on two of the countries New Tribes Mission works in. We find out all sorts of cool facts about those countries and then about the works that New Tribes Mission is involved with in those countries. The second part of the morning the students are broken up into two different staff homes. Each student has a country that New Tribes Mission works with and updates us on the needs and prayer requests for that country. Then we spend time praying for all the needs and prayer request. Although we pray for our missionaries on a regular bases I just love having this morning every month to be able to spend a lot more time praying for the missionaries out there on the front lines. We know first hand of all the challenges that working in remote areas can bring and it is a joy to uplift our overseas missionaries in prayer.
