A few weeks ago someone sent me a gift certificate and a catalog to order something from this company. One of the things I found that looked quite interesting was an Aebleskiver pan with the advertizement :Start a new breakfast tradition with warm and tasty Aebleskivers. We love eating breakfast meals for lunch or supper and I thought this is something I would like to introduce to the family. I had never even heard of Aebleskivers before. Last week I got the pan and actually watched a video on line on how to cook them. There is quite an art to flipping these in quarter turns until they are done. Many people use knitting needles to make all the flips but since I don't knit I used wooden skewers. Aebleskivers are like mini pancakes but you can fill them with fruit, chocolate chips, we even tried stuffing some with cheese. Today was my first trial run in making these for lunch. I think they turned out pretty good and I will definitely be experimenting some more on different variations and practicing flipping them to become a pro.
