The Count Down Has Begun!

In five more days my cast comes off!  I will feel like I have a new freedom!  No more taking showers with plastic bags, no more needing help with small tasks!  As soon as I got this second cast on I tried getting the largest size rubber gloves so that I could still do some things in the kitchen.  Unfortunately, I couldn't find a pair big enough.  I have done almost no cooking and baking as I need someone there to help so I don't get my cast covered with food.  On Wednesday however, I decided to make muffins for our fellowship group which turned out to be a disaster.  It took twice as long to mix them up and I could have eaten a meal with the amount I spilled on the counter trying to do this one handed.  And even though I thought I was being careful with my hand that is in a cast, that hand was sticky everywhere!  I think a bit dripped into my cast.  So the COUNT DOWN has begun!
